Ingredients:

For the Fried Fish:

1 pound white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia), cut into strips

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup buttermilk (or use 1 cup milk mixed with 1 tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice)

Vegetable oil for frying

For the Toppings:

8 small tortillas (corn or flour)

2 cups shredded lettuce

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup diced red onion

1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

1 lime, cut into wedges

Hot sauce or salsa (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Fish:

In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Dip each fish strip into the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off, and then coat it in the                   seasoned flour mixture. Ensure each piece is evenly coated.

2. Heat the Oil:

In a large, deep skillet or deep fryer, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat to       around 350°F (175°C). You can test if the oil is hot enough by dropping a small piece of bread or a        pinch of flour into the oil. If it sizzles and bubbles, it's ready.

3. Fry the Fish:

Carefully add the breaded fish strips to the hot oil, working in batches if necessary to avoid                     overcrowding the skillet.

Fry the fish for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.

Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried fish from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper       towels to drain any excess oil.

4. Assemble the Tacos:

Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds.

Place a generous spoonful of shredded lettuce on each tortilla.

Top with the crispy fried fish strips.

5. Add Toppings:

Add diced tomatoes, diced red onion, and chopped cilantro on top of the fish.

6. Finish with Sauces:

Drizzle sour cream or Greek yogurt over the tacos.

Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top.

If you like it spicy, add hot sauce or salsa.

7. Serve:

Serve the fish tacos immediately while they are warm and crispy.

These fried fish tacos are a delightful combination of crispy fish and fresh, flavorful toppings. Customize them to your liking with your favorite salsa, hot sauce, or other condiments. Enjoy your homemade fish tacos!
