Paneer Anardana Kebab prepare

Paneer Anardana Kebab is a flavorful and tangy vegetarian kebab made with paneer (Indian cottage cheese) and pomegranate seeds (anardana). Here's a recipe to prepare Paneer Anardana Kebab:

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams paneer (Indian cottage cheese), grated or crumbled
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds (anardana), crushed
  • 2 tablespoons bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for shallow frying

For the coating:

  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (maida)
  • Water for making a smooth batter

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated or crumbled paneer, crushed pomegranate seeds, bread crumbs, finely chopped onions, coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste, green chili, cumin powder, chaat masala, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix everything well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. Divide the mixture into small portions and shape them into round or oval kebabs.

  3. In a separate bowl, prepare the coating by combining cornflour and all-purpose flour. Gradually add water to make a smooth and thick batter without any lumps.

  4. Heat oil in a shallow frying pan over medium heat.

  5. Dip each kebab into the prepared coating batter, ensuring it is coated evenly from all sides.

  6. Gently place the coated kebab in the hot oil and shallow fry until it turns golden brown and crispy. Fry a few kebabs at a time, depending on the size of your pan, to avoid overcrowding.

  7. Once the kebabs are cooked, remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to remove any excess oil.

  8. Serve the Paneer Anardana Kebabs hot as an appetizer or snack. They can be enjoyed on their own or with mint chutney or yogurt dip.

These Paneer Anardana Kebabs have a delightful combination of flavors with the tanginess of pomegranate seeds and the creaminess of paneer. They are sure to be a hit at any gathering or party, and even paneer lovers will enjoy this unique variation of kebabs.
