Parsi Mutton Cutlets Recipe

Ingredients:

  • >> 500g mutton (goat or lamb), boiled and finely minced
  • >> 2 large potatoes, boiled, peeled, and mashed
  • >> 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • >> 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • >> 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • >> 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • >> 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • >> 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • >> 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • >> 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • >> 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • >> 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint leaves
  • >> Salt to taste
  • >> 2 eggs, beaten
  • >> Breadcrumbs for coating
  • >> Oil for shallow frying

Instructions:

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the boiled and minced mutton, mashed potatoes, chopped onions, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, lemon juice, fresh coriander leaves, fresh mint leaves, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.

  2. 2. Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a round or oval-shaped cutlet. Repeat this process with the rest of the mixture to make more cutlets.

  3. 3. Dip each cutlet into the beaten eggs, ensuring they are coated on all sides.

  4. 4. Roll the egg-coated cutlets in breadcrumbs, pressing gently so that the breadcrumbs adhere to the surface.

  5. 5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat for shallow frying.

  6. 6. Carefully place the coated cutlets in the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides. You can also deep fry the cutlets if you prefer, but shallow frying works well too.

  7. 7. Once the cutlets are cooked and golden brown, remove them from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

  8. 8. Serve the Parsi Mutton Cutlets hot with green chutney or ketchup.

These Parsi Mutton Cutlets are sure to be a hit among your family and guests. Enjoy the delicious blend of flavors and spices in this delightful appetizer!
