Ingredients:

➤8 oz (about 225g) pasta (such as spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)

➤1 can (5-6 oz) canned tuna, drained

➤2 tablespoons olive oil

➤1 small onion, finely chopped

➤2 cloves garlic, minced

➤1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes (or use fresh tomatoes, diced)

➤1 teaspoon dried oregano

➤1/2 teaspoon dried basil

➤1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

➤Salt and black pepper, to taste

➤2 cups vegetable or chicken broth

➤1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half (optional)

➤Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

➤Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

1. Sauté Aromatics:

➔In a large pan or skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until        it  becomes translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

➔Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.

2. Add Tomatoes and Seasonings:

➔Pour in the canned diced tomatoes along with their juice. Stir in the dried oregano, dried basil, red         pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

3. Add Pasta and Broth:

➔Break the pasta in half and add it to the pan. Pour in the vegetable or chicken broth. Make sure the          pasta is mostly submerged in the liquid.

4. Cook Pasta:

➔Bring the mixture to a simmer and let the pasta cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally        to  prevent sticking. The pasta will absorb the liquid and become tender.

5. Incorporate Tuna and Cream:

➔Once the pasta is cooked to your desired level of tenderness, add the drained canned tuna to the pan.     Stir to combine.

➔If using heavy cream or half-and-half, pour it into the pan and mix to create a creamy sauce. You can      omit this step if you prefer a lighter dish.

6. Adjust Seasoning:

➔Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. You can add more salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes                  according to your preference.

7. Serve:

➔Once the tuna is heated through and the flavors have melded, remove the pan from the heat.

➔Serve the one-pan tuna pasta in individual bowls, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped        fresh parsley.

8. Enjoy:

➔Enjoy your delicious and comforting one-pan tuna pasta!
