Prawn Stir Fry - Prawn Recipes

Ingredients:

➤1 pound (450g) large prawns, peeled and deveined

➤2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, snap peas, broccoli, etc.), sliced

➤3 cloves garlic, minced

➤1 teaspoon ginger, minced

➤2 tablespoons soy sauce

➤1 tablespoon oyster sauce

➤1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

➤1 teaspoon sesame oil

➤1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)

➤Salt and pepper to taste

➤Optional: chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

1. Start by marinating the prawns. In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Add the prawns to the bowl, toss to coat them well in the marinade, and set aside for about 15-20 minutes.

2. Heat a wok or a large skillet over high heat. Add the vegetable oil and swirl it around to coat the surface.

3. Add the marinated prawns to the hot wok, making sure they're spread out in a single layer. Let them cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes until they start to turn pink and opaque on one side.

4. Flip the prawns over and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side until they're fully cooked. Transfer the cooked prawns to a plate and set them aside.

5. In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed and add the mixed vegetables. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 2-3 minutes until they're slightly tender but still crisp.

6. Return the cooked prawns to the wok with the vegetables. Add the hoisin sauce and toss everything together to combine. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.

7. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary.

8. Once everything is well combined and heated through, remove the wok from the heat.

9. Serve the prawn stir-fry over steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
