Blackened Salmon Tacos

Ingredients:

For the Blackened Salmon:

➤4 salmon fillets (6-8 ounces each), skinless

➤2 tablespoons olive oil

➤2 teaspoons paprika

➤1 teaspoon garlic powder

➤1 teaspoon onion powder

➤1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

➤1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

➤1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste for spiciness)

➤Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

➤Juice of 1 lime

For the Slaw:

➤2 cups coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)

➤1/4 cup mayonnaise

➤1 tablespoon lime juice

➤1 teaspoon honey

➤Salt and pepper to taste

For Assembling Tacos:

➤8 small flour or corn tortillas

➤Sliced avocado

➤Sliced jalapeños (optional)

➤Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

➤Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Blackened Salmon:

➤In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano,             cayenne pepper, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to make the blackening seasoning.

2. Season the Salmon:

➤Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil and then coat them generously with the blackening seasoning.     Make sure the seasoning covers both sides of the fillets. Squeeze lime juice over the seasoned fillets       and let them sit for a few minutes to marinate.

3. Make the Slaw:

➤In a separate bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, lime juice, honey, salt, and pepper. Mix       well to coat the coleslaw evenly. Adjust the seasoning to taste.

4. Heat a Skillet:

➤Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add a bit of olive oil if necessary to                  prevent  sticking.

5. Cook the Salmon:

➤Carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets in the hot skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each           side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and has a nice blackened crust. Cooking time may        vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.

6 . Warm the Tortillas:

➤While the salmon is cooking, warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until they are pliable.

7. Assemble the Tacos:

➤To assemble the tacos, place a scoop of the slaw mixture onto each tortilla. Top with a piece of                blackened salmon, sliced avocado, and jalapeños if desired.

8. Garnish and Serve:

➤Garnish the tacos with fresh cilantro leaves and serve with lime wedges on the side.

9. Enjoy:

➤Serve your blackened salmon tacos hot and enjoy the flavorful combination of spices and textures.

These blackened salmon tacos are a delicious fusion of flavors, making them a perfect choice for a tasty meal. Adjust the level of spiciness to your liking by varying the amount of cayenne pepper in the blackening seasoning.
