Ingredients:
➤2 cups grated beetroot
➤1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
➤1/2 cup finely chopped onions
➤1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
➤2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
➤1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
➤1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
➤1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
➤1/2 teaspoon garam masala
➤Salt to taste
➤1/2 cup breadcrumbs
➤2 tablespoons cornflour or all-purpose flour
➤Oil for shallow frying
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Beetroot Mixture:
a. In a large mixing bowl, combine grated beetroot, mashed potatoes, chopped onions, coriander leaves, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt.
b. Mix the ingredients well to form a uniform mixture.
2. Shape the Cutlets:
a. Take a portion of the mixture and shape it into small round or oval patties.
3. Coat with Breadcrumbs:
a. In a shallow plate, spread out the breadcrumbs.
b. Coat each cutlet with breadcrumbs, ensuring an even coating.
4. Prepare the Batter:
a. In a bowl, mix cornflour or all-purpose flour with water to make a smooth, thick batter.
5. Dip in Batter:
a. Dip each cutlet in the batter, ensuring it is coated on all sides.
6. Shallow Fry:
a. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
b. Shallow fry the cutlets until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides. This may take about 3-4 minutes per side.
7. Drain Excess Oil:
a. Place the fried cutlets on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
8. Serve:
