Beetroot Raita recipe
Ingredients:
➤1 cup grated beetroot
➤1 cup plain yogurt (curd)
➤1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
➤1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
➤Salt to taste
➤1 tablespoon finely chopped mint leaves (optional)
➤1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
➤1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder (optional)
➤1/2 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
➤1 tablespoon roasted and crushed peanuts (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Beetroot:
a. Peel and grate the beetroot. You can use a food processor or hand grater.
2. Mix Yogurt and Beetroot:
a. In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt and grated beetroot.
b. Mix well until the yogurt is evenly combined with the beetroot.
3. Add Spices:
a. Add roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, and salt to the yogurt-beetroot mixture.
b. If you like, you can also add black pepper powder for an extra kick.
4. Add Herbs:
a. Add finely chopped mint leaves and coriander leaves to the mixture. This adds freshness and flavor.
5. Optional: Add Ginger (Optional):
a. If you like a hint of ginger flavor, add finely grated ginger to the raita.
