Aloo Puri Recipe 






Aloo (Potato) Curry:

Ingredients:


➤3-4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and diced

➤1 large onion, finely chopped

➤2 tomatoes, finely chopped

➤2 green chilies, chopped

➤1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

➤1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

➤1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)

➤1 teaspoon cumin seeds

➤1 teaspoon coriander powder

➤1/2 teaspoon garam masala

➤Salt to taste

➤Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

➤2 tablespoons oil



Instructions:

1. Prepare Potatoes:

➤Boil or steam the diced potatoes until they are fork-tender. Set aside.


2. Tempering:

➤Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.


3. Sauté Aromatics:

➤Add chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions become golden brown.


4. Add Ginger-Garlic Paste:

➤Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.


5. Add Tomatoes:

➤Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and the oil starts to separate.


6. Add Spices:

➤Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.


7. Add Potatoes:

➤Add the boiled and diced potatoes to the spice mixture. Toss everything together until the potatoes          are well coated.


8. Cooking:

➤Cover the pan and let the curry simmer for 10-15 minutes on low heat. Stir occasionally.


9. Garnish:

➤Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.


Puri (Deep-fried Bread):


Ingredients:

➤2 cups whole wheat flour

➤Water for kneading

➤Oil for deep frying


Instructions:

1. Prepare Dough:

➤In a bowl, mix the whole wheat flour with water to form a smooth and firm dough.


2. Divide and Roll:

➤Divide the dough into small lemon-sized balls. Roll each ball into a small disc (puri) using a rolling         pin.


3. Deep Fry:

➤Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Once hot, carefully slide the rolled puri into the hot oil. Press gently           with a slotted spoon, and it will puff up. Fry until both sides are golden brown.


4. Serve:

➤Serve the hot Aloo Puri together, garnished with fresh coriander leaves.


Aloo Puri is best enjoyed fresh and hot. It's a perfect meal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Adjust the spice levels according to your taste preference.
