Ingredients:

➤4 large potatoes (russet or any variety suitable for frying)

➤Vegetable oil for frying

➤Salt to taste

➤Optional seasonings: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, or any other preferred spices

Instructions:

1. Peel and Slice Potatoes:

➤Wash and peel the potatoes.

➤Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, thinly slice the potatoes. Aim for uniform thickness to            ensure even cooking.

2. Soak in Water:

➤Soak the potato slices in a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch,      resulting in crispier chips.

3. Drain and Pat Dry:

➤Drain the soaked potato slices and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

4. Heat Oil:

➤Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large, deep pan to 350-375°F (175-190°C).

5. Fry the Potato Slices:

➤Carefully add a small batch of potato slices to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.

➤Fry until the chips are golden brown and crispy, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.

➤Use a slotted spoon to remove the chips and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

6. Seasoning:

➤While the chips are still hot, sprinkle them with salt and any additional seasonings you prefer. Toss         gently to coat evenly.

7. Repeat:

➤Repeat the frying process with the remaining potato slices.

8. Cool and Serve:

➤Allow the potato chips to cool completely before serving. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.

Tips:

➤Experiment with different seasonings to create unique flavors.

➤Be cautious while frying to avoid oil splatters and burns.

➤Adjust the thickness of the potato slices based on your preference for thin or thicker chips.

Enjoy your homemade potato chips or wafers!
