➤1/2 cup grated coconut
➤1 tablespoon oil (preferably coconut or vegetable oil)
➤1 teaspoon mustard seeds
➤1 teaspoon urad dal (black gram)
➤1 teaspoon chana dal (split chickpeas)
➤2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
➤1 sprig curry leaves
➤1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
➤Salt to taste
➤Fresh coriander leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
2. Add urad dal and chana dal. Sauté until they turn golden brown.
3. Add chopped green chilies and curry leaves. Sauté for a minute.
4. Add finely chopped cabbage to the pan. Stir well to combine with the tempering.
5. Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix everything well.
6. Cover the pan with a lid and let the cabbage cook on medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
7. Cook until the cabbage is tender but still has a slight crunch. This usually takes about 10-15 minutes.
