Ingredients:


➤2 cups finely shredded cabbage

➤1 cup peas (fresh or frozen)

➤1 large onion, finely chopped

➤2 tomatoes, finely chopped

➤1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

➤1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

➤1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds

➤1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

➤1 teaspoon coriander powder

➤1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

➤1/2 teaspoon garam masala

➤Red chili powder to taste (optional)

➤Salt to taste

➤2 tablespoons oil

➤Fresh coriander leaves for garnish



Instructions:


1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Allow them to splutter.


2. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent.


3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.


4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and the oil starts to separate.


5. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and red chili powder (if              using). Mix well.


6. Add finely shredded cabbage and peas. Mix thoroughly to coat the vegetables with the spice mixture.


7. Cook on medium heat until the cabbage and peas are tender but still have a slight crunch. Stir                   occasionally.


8. Season with salt according to your taste and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes.


9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.


10. Patta Gobhi Matar can be enjoyed with chapati, naan, or steamed rice.
