Ingredients:


➤4 cups shredded cabbage

➤1 large onion, thinly sliced

➤1 large tomato, chopped

➤1 green chili, finely chopped (adjust to taste)

➤1 teaspoon mustard seeds

➤1 teaspoon cumin seeds

➤1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

➤1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)

➤1 teaspoon coriander powder

➤Salt to taste

➤2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or mustard oil works well)

➤Fresh coriander leaves for garnish (optional)



Instructions:


1. Prepare Ingredients:

➤Shred the cabbage finely and set it aside.

➤Thinly slice the onion, chop the tomato, and finely chop the green chili.


2. Sauté Mustard and Cumin Seeds:

➤Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

➤Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.


3. Add Onions and Green Chili:

➤Add the sliced onions and chopped green chili to the pan.

➤Sauté until the onions become translucent.


4. Add Tomatoes:

➤Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they become soft and the oil starts to separate.


5. Add Spices:

➤Lower the heat and add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.


6. Add Cabbage:

➤Add the shredded cabbage to the pan and mix everything together.

➤Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is cooked but still has a slight crunch.       This may take about 8-10 minutes.


7. Garnish:

➤If desired, garnish with fresh coriander leaves.


8. Serve:

➤Cabbage Bhaji is ready to be served. It makes a great side dish with roti, chapati, or rice.
